Remember your first apartment? Remember how small it was? Maybe it was just a room in a dorm, but you had to make a small space work. How creative we can be when needed. "Necessity is the mother of invention". Too true. And with the increasing expensive of single family homes, many folks are turning back to condo living - small condos.
How do you make a small space work? Sufficient storage is key. Here are some tips and tricks.
Look up. There is tons of space on the way to the ceiling. Shelves are perfect for storage and make use of the corners.
Use every nook and cranny you can find to install a shelf.
DOUBLE DUTY FURNITURE
There are tons of companies out there that create 'small' furniture and items that are multi-taskers. Very tailored to the condominium industry, you can find some very unique pieces - and they are not necessarily expensive. Shop around or look for second hand.
Do you like the modern look? Have you been thinking about embracing it more? Wait no longer...it's easier than you think. By default, modern styles mean you have less stuff. Clean lines and uncluttered. It's a perfect design style for a small space.
Opt for using wall lights instead of floor lamps or table lamps that take up valuable space. Extendable, swing arm lights can be moved out of the way when not needed.
