George Carlin famously summed up our need for "stuff". We have a lot of stuff, and the larger our homes become, the more "stuff" we need to put in them.
If you want to keep it all, consider some clever storage ideas before everyone starts thinking you are a hoarder! Here are some ideas:
Under the stairs storage. A little used and very wasted space can be turned into storage.
Interior barn doors are all the range. They are inexpensive and easy to install and most of all, look great! They can hide just about everything.
Book cases in unexpected places. This railing was uniquely turned into open shelving. Just keep it tidy!
Utilise corners. It doesn't have to be big to be efficient. And use the height of the walls.
Layers. Put shelving above cabinets & dressers. Again, use the height of walls, but don't place everyday items out of reach.
Baskets, Bins and Canisters
