I've been wanting to write a post about display trays for awhile. I have a couple of beautiful glass pedestal displays that I use frequently. And not just for food! When I lived in smaller apartments and did not have a lot of counter space in the kitchen, I used my displays as extra storage and space - like risers. They came in handy so many times and really looked great. I still use them even though I have a house with more space, as the lovely vignettes created are always pleasing to me. I receive compliments on them all the time!
These vignettes are easily changed quickly. When you get bored of one, switch it to a different theme. Really, the possibilities are endless.
So here are 10 ways that I came up with to use your display trays. These are really off the top of my head, except for the towels and the decanter vignettes. These two are always in my home.
My displays happen to be glass pedestal ones, but you can easily use any material that matched with your decor, like metal, porcelain or ceramic. If you are using a tiered display, double up on the items you put on, or use each level as a different theme - just try to tie it into one larger theme that makes sense. For example, one level could be for coffee items, another level for tea items.
A few of our faves. Click on the photos to shop them!
